Method 1: Perform a fresh login on Discord.

It is highly recommended that you utilize the Discord Password Support service in an effort to modify either the password or the username that is linked with your Discord account.

Changing your password will not only fix the problem, but it will also make your account more secure and automatically fix any subsequent password leakage issues that may have arisen as a result.

In the event that difficulties with your password (such as forgetting it or it being invalid) constitute the root of your Discord troubles, you may quickly change your password by following the steps outlined below:

  • Step 1: Enter your email address

Enter your email address, and then instead of entering your password, click on the link that says “Forgot your Password” to be taken to the page that allows you to reset your password.

Visit the page labeled “Forgot your Password” in order to get your password changed.

  • Step 2: Verify the link sent by Discord

You will get an email from Discord including a verification code that you can use to change or reset your password.

The verification URL will seem to be something similar to the image that is given below. Proceed to your inbox and click on the attached link there.

After clicking on the Reset Password option, you will be directed to a new page where you may input and choose a new password.

After doing so, you will be able to finish the procedure. A link that is sent to your email address may be used to reset your password for Discord.

You would be sent to the browser-based version of Discord, where the password you currently have will be changed. A new password has been set for the Discord server.

Method 2: Modify your DNS

In the event that your DNS or IPs have been set incorrectly. See whether making the switch to 8.8.8.8 as the preferred DNS or 8.8.4.4 as the alternative DNS helps by trying out those IP addresses.

For those who have an iPhone or an iPad:

Method 3: Delete the App’s Cached Data

These trash files have the potential to build and pile up, which can ultimately cause the background to become bloated and finally create problems while using the Discord app.

For Windows,

  • Step 1: Navigate to the Windows Data Files folder.

Navigate to Windows Data Files and then put %appdata%discord into the search box that’s located at the very top of File Explorer.

  • Step 2: Search for and choose Cache, Code Cache, and GPU Cache.

  • Step 3: After choosing the options listed above, click Delete.

For Mac,

  • Step 1: Navigate to Finder.

Navigate to the Finder app, then choose Go from the menu bar. The Go to Folder button may be found by scrolling down on this tab.

When you click on the Go Tab, a text prompt will appear on the Go to Folder tab. In this prompt, type /Library/Application Support/discord/.

  • Step 2: Delete the folders you no longer need.

Search for the following three folders: Cache, GPU Cache, and Code Cache. Additionally, remove the following three directories.

When you have completed the steps in the previous stages, click the Save button.

For Android Devices,

  • Step 1: Select Settings.

  • Step 2: Find and connect to a Wi-Fi network.

  • Step 3: Choose the Information tab

  • Step 4: After scrolling down, choose the IP Settings option.

  • Step 5: Click on Static.

When the new window pops up, enter the IP address you want to use for the Discord app so that you may keep using it without any problems.
